"In the Big Round", a collective of accomplished Southern California singer-songwriters who began as a private weekly workshop and have since evolved into a compelling live performance experience that has grown into sold-out appearances at McCabe’s Guitar Shop (twice), Coffee Gallery Backstage (twice), Severin Browne’s First Friday series, and Boulevard Music (twice). The lineup features Emmy and Peabody Award-winning writer Tracy Newman, folk legend Art Podell (founding member of The New Christy Minstrels), former Motown recording artist Severin Browne, acclaimed Americana artist John Zipperer, and standout songwriters Ken Holme, Craig “Linc” Lincoln, and Kevin Kelso. Bliss Bowen is a singer-songwriter and champion of the roots music scene in Southern California. Most of her childhood was spent between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pine Barrens of South Jersey. She has long been rooted in Sierra Madre where she finds abundant inspiration for her soulful Americana songs and stories. Her new album Ghost Trees, features bassist/co-producer Ted Russell Kamp, guitarist Dan Wistrom, and drummer Christopher Allis, all of whom will join her for this show.

John Zipperer tells tales of highways, rivers, and rails. From New England to Los Angeles via the Deep South John has lived life to its fullest and shares his experiences on the recent album, Devil Rail. With road-tested songs from years of performing live, John draws inspiration from a variety of genres. He'll be joined by Nick Kirgo and Tara Sitser.

We’ll also be joined by Hubertus Roesch all the way from Germany.

A magical evening in our beautiful native plant garden, hosted by the comedian Joel Bryant. You will be served a fabulous gourmet meal that includes many delectable vegan options. The event also features a roster of outstanding live entertainment, including musical performances by John Zipperer, Kathleen Kelso, Claire Bloom, JK Jones, Brent Hahn, and Wendy Waldman. There will also be a special dance performance by Sean Ginko & Maya Sinelnikov, one of the top ballroom dance duos in the world!

After dinner, be prepared to dance the night away to classic hits from the 60s & 70s performed by THE SONIC BOOMERS.

I’m so proud to be performing at AmericanaFest in Bill Wence Promotion’s “Americana on the Row” at Bobby’s Idle Hour with the talented, prolific & ubiquitous Donna Frost. We’ll be trading songs from 3-4 pm on Friday September 20th.
